It's hard to believe the 9th month of the year is here. Summer is almost over and it is back to school and the beautiful autumn colors will soon be in evidence. We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer as much as all of us at Woodstock. We are planning our garlic festival in September and the date is to be announced.  Our Garlic this year has been fantastic..the best ever.

"Losing Walter Cronkite was like losing a Deadhead brother, his relationship with the Grateful Dead and Mickey Hart revealed how powerful the Dead's music was to multiple generations. And today I learn of the passing of John Marmaduke Dawson. Dawson was one of the finest musicians to grace the San Francisco scene. When I went off to prep school in 1978, I had heard the Grateful Dead, but wasn't drawn to tunes like Truckin' or US Blues. When I got to Milton Academy, one of the earliest records I experienced was the Adventures of Panama Red by New Riders of the Purple Sage. As you likely know, John Dawson founded the band with some guys including the pedal steel player Jerry Garcia. Through this introduction to Garcia, I am now who I am.
